Includes one use union nut. Original may leak if re-used. We have put as much detail as possible in the part compatibility table above, but the only way to be 100% sure that the part will fit your vehicle is to check the part number on your original unit. This item is equivalent to the following part numbers: 1743278. 4M513A696AC 4M513A696AE 4M513A696AD 1329297, 1470514 1484948 1362652 R4M51J3A696AE HP1648. Does not fit automatic gearbox models. Our replacement pipe is the modified type. Ford have modified their pipes and the replacement may be slightly longer than the original so that you can do away with the oil cooler if you choose to. Do not fit the one use nut on to the new pipe first. Screw the nut into its housing then push in the pipe FULLY. Fitting guide for reference only. Remove the cover underneath the engine, the driver side headlight and move the coolant and power steering reservoirs to give better access. You may not need to remove the serpentine belts to fit the new pipe but do your own research. The old hoses are secured to the chassis at 3 points and are accessed from under the car. The pipes are easy to remove underneath to the rear of the engine bay but the 2 in the engine bay can be a challenge. You may wish to cut the original metal pipe so that you can get an 18mm socket on the old connector nut to remove it. Screw your new connector nut in and then install the hose/pipe combination and persuade it into position. Don’t bolt up the chassis mountings until the pipes are home as the whole lot is under a bit of tension when all fitted. The reservoir hose is a simple push fit. Then you need to push the pipe fully home into the steering pump connector nut and it’s a very tight fit. Once you’ve clicked the pipe in you tighten up the 10mm bolt, tighten up the 3 chassis connections and put the reservoirs and headlight back in place. Run the engine, check to make sure there are no leaks and top up the power steering fluid. We are committed to provide a safe and convenient way to trade.
